Import a frameset or a complete bike? Compare the finished totals
The frameset price is the beginning of a build. The complete-bike price is closer to the end, but may still exclude delivery, import costs or the parts you need to change. Put both options at the same finish line before comparing them.

List the finished bike you need
A GRARO frameset needs a complete compatible parts and labour plan. The catalog’s Twitter V3 RS/Sensah example records a complete-bike configuration; it is not a fresh matched quote. Confirm the exact parts, revision and regional delivery terms. Compare fit, gearing and tyre use before comparing totals. The pictured V3 has a different regional Shimano 105 build, as its caption explains.

Price missing parts and unwanted parts
For the frameset, add remaining components, consumables, compatible hardware, workshop work and delivered import costs. For the complete bike, add required changes and assembly/checks after delivery. Count spare parts you already own only after compatibility and condition are checked. Do not deduct an imagined resale value for unwanted parts as if a buyer has already paid.
Here is an invented comparison, assuming the two finished builds meet the same requirements and each delivered price already covers confirmed shipping and import charges. A frameset at €800 plus €900 for all remaining parts, consumables and hardware, plus €200 labour, totals €1,900. A complete bike at €1,750 plus €250 of required changes and €100 work totals €2,100. The finished difference is €200, not the €950 gap between the starting prices. Any unresolved cost makes that route incomplete; these figures do not compare actual GRARO and V3 offers.
Compare actual import treatment
The EU bicycle anti-dumping regulation consulted October 4, 2026 remains a dated reference. For an actual order, the Commission’s Common Customs Tariff explanation shows why product classification, origin and other applicable measures matter. Have the correct treatment and any exemption confirmed for that shipment. Do not assume a frameset is duty-free, copy a friend’s bill or describe a shipment inaccurately to obtain a desired result.
Obtain route-specific totals for your destination and order date. Use the Europe or US/Canada guide for the regional route. If one option remains incomplete, keep it a subtotal. The useful winner is the finished bike you can obtain and maintain at the documented total.
Use the EU landed-cost worksheet to document the import lines, and the first-build tool budget to scope assembly spending. Neither replaces the exact parts list and workshop compatibility review.
