A second bike or better wheels? Name the ride you are missing
An upgrade tab and a second-bike tab can stay open for weeks. Close both long enough to answer one question: what ride is your current bike preventing? The answer separates a new capability from a pleasant purchase you simply want.

Find a distinct job
A second bike can earn its place through a different surface, carrying role, riding position or availability while the first bike is serviced. Better wheels change part of the existing build. If you need approved luggage mounts or a substantially different fit, a wheel upgrade cannot supply them. If the existing wheels have a documented problem, replacing them may solve the need directly.
Compare two finished solutions
Use the Speedster SR and ICAN GRARO as examples of different frame directions, not an automatic two-bike recommendation. Compare the actual tire, gearing and fit packages you would ride. For a wheel upgrade, include cassette, rotors, tires and fitting as needed. For another bike, include assembly, equipment and storage.
A hypothetical pair of wheels costing 600 is not directly comparable with a frame costing 600. One is part of a working bike; the other still needs the rest. Put both choices into complete totals in the same currency and destination.
If the missing ride needs only a different wheel setup, use the two-wheelset checklist to check the exact axle, freehub, rotor and tire requirements before buying. Compare the whole build with the frameset versus complete-bike cost guide.

Run the week on paper
Assign each planned ride to a setup. Add where each bike or wheelset lives, how often you will swap and who services it. If the new purchase has no regular ride assigned, waiting is a reasonable outcome. Wanting a beautiful bike is allowed; claiming it solves an unnamed problem is unnecessary.
Choose the solution whose extra capability you will use, with a complete cost and workable routine. The best upgrade may be the one that finally gets you onto the route you keep saving.
