Which LightCarbon frame? Road and gravel framesets by weight and tire room, and a warranty that runs from shipment
LightCarbon sells framesets by quote, not from a price list; owners reported a US$599 quote for an LCR017-D frame in May 2026 and US$950 for a custom-painted LCR018-D frameset. Its current road frames run from the 870 g LCR017-D climbing frame with room for 32 mm tires to the LCR018-D aero all-road frame that takes 38 mm, and its gravel frames take 47–50 mm. The warranty covers carbon parts for two years from the day the package ships, but LightCarbon pays the shipping for a warranty replacement only in the first six months.

Current framesets by job
LightCarbon gives each frame weight for one size with a tolerance and lists fork and seatpost separately:
- LCR017-D, sold in China as the Speed7: climbing road. 870 g in size 52 (850–945 g across six sizes, ±30 g), fork 390 g, seatpost 160 g; integrated HBR17 cockpit; 32 mm tires; T47 bottom bracket in a 68 mm shell. An owner reported a US$599 frame quote in May 2026.
- LCR020-D: aero road. 1,000 g in size 54 (±4%) in LightCarbon's current catalog, where an earlier version said 1,100 g; 35 mm tires; T47 in an 85.5 mm shell.
- LCR018-D: aero all-road with an integrated handlebar and UDH. 1,100 g in size 52 (1,040–1,190 g across sizes, ±4%), fork 430 g, seatpost 180 g; 38 mm tires; T47 in an 85.5 mm shell, although one listing says 86.5 mm. Trace Velo weighed a size-58 frame at 1,236 g. An owner reported paying US$950 for a custom-painted frameset.
- LCG071-PRO: gravel. 1,140 g in size 52 with the down-tube storage lid (1,110–1,200 g, ±40 g), fork 495 g; integrated HBR08 cockpit; 50 mm tires; T47 in an 85.5 mm shell. An owner reported a US$629 frameset package in November 2025.
- LCG074-D and LCG087-D: gravel frames with a micro-suspension pivot and down-tube storage, 1,230 g for 50 mm tires and 1,480 g for 47 mm.
- LCTT05-D: triathlon. 1,800 g, press-fit BB386, 28 mm tires, with its own bottle and tool box.
- Older aero road frames such as the LCR015-D use a press-fit BB86 shell and take 28 mm tires; LightCarbon offers them on inquiry.
Prices come by quote; get the bottom bracket in writing
LightCarbon quotes through its contact page, which says an earlier Dutch partnership has ended and the brand is looking for a new European partner, so a seller calling itself the European distributor should show the current relationship. The LCR018-D product page lists the bottom bracket as an extra, while the Cyclists Hub owner interview describes it as included. Get the bottom bracket's model and price on the quote and check the interface with the bottom-bracket guide.

Two years from shipment, free return shipping for six months
LightCarbon's warranty page, read on 5 November 2026, gives all its carbon products, from frames, forks, seatposts and handlebars to rims and wheels, two years against material or manufacturing defects, counted from the day the package ships rather than the day it arrives. For a defect reported within six months LightCarbon replaces the part and pays the shipping; from six to 24 months it still replaces the part, but the buyer pays the shipping. Import duty, tax and the labor of taking the bike apart and rebuilding it are never covered.
Arrival problems have short windows: report damage found after unpacking to your LightCarbon sales representative within seven days of receipt, with photos of the waybill, packaging and damage. A visibly damaged box must be noted on the courier's waybill or refused; otherwise there is no recourse. Crash damage is excluded; instead the original buyer gets a one-time 10% discount on a replacement frame or rim within two years. LightCarbon's older after-sales page words some cases differently, so keep the warranty page's terms with your quote.
