YOELEO ALTERA G21: tire room by drivetrain, seven sizes and two tax wordings

The ALTERA G21 is the YOELEO gravel frameset in our catalog: US$1,420 on 25 September 2026, a threaded T47 shell, a UDH hanger and seven sizes up to 60. YOELEO's 53 mm tire limit applies to single-ring drivetrains only; an owner with a 2× road crank fitted 45 mm tires and expected a 53 mm tire to hit the front-derailleur cable. Before ordering, note that YOELEO's two delivery pages describe taxes differently.

What US$1,420 buys

On 25 September 2026 YOELEO's global store listed the ALTERA G21 at US$1,420 in four stock colours; the Artisan Black product page showed it as sold out. The frame has a T47 bottom bracket, a UDH hanger and mounts on the top tube and for fenders. YOELEO gives 1,050 g for a raw size-56 frame and 1,170 g for the same size painted in Champagne, so that finish adds about 120 g; the painted fork is 480 g.

The seven sizes run from 45 (512 mm stack, 373 mm reach; 160–168 cm riders on YOELEO's chart) to 60 (640 mm stack, 396 mm reach; 193–201 cm), so the range reaches riders of about two metres.

53 mm with one chainring, 45 mm proven with two

YOELEO's 53 mm maximum is for 1× drivetrains, and it publishes no 2× figure. In a July 2025 video, Patrick Lino fitted Continental Terra Speed tires that measured 45 mm on 27 mm internal rims to a size-56 G21 with a 50/34 Shimano road Di2 crank and no extra bottom-bracket spacers, and expected a 53 mm tire to hit the front-derailleur cable. With 1×, the owner in an April 2026 UK Bike Fit build races 55 mm front and 50 mm rear tires on 28 mm internal rims, wider than YOELEO's figure at the front; the remaining gap was not measured on camera. Plan a 2× build around 45 mm; with 1×, 53 mm is YOELEO's limit.

What the frameset box includes

YOELEO's G21 frameset package includes the frame, fork, handlebar, seatpost, thru-axles, headset and seatpost hardware, the down-tube storage hardware and the UDH hanger, so wheels, tires, groupset and brakes make up the rest of the build. With 433 mm chainstays and a 79 mm bottom-bracket drop in size 56, it is set up for stable adventure riding rather than as a light, racy frame. The workshop build below shows one customer's parts.

Two delivery pages, two tax wordings

Two YOELEO pages use different tax wording. The shipping policy separates China/global and Germany/Europe routes; the general delivery page lists prepaid-tax methods for selected destinations. Neither page alone identifies the warehouse or charge treatment for your exact order. Ask which terms govern the seller’s quote instead of treating the more favorable wording as a guarantee.

The Europe buying guide shows the import charges to add when a quote leaves them out.

An older R11 build explains a useful distinction

An R11 owner reporting in May 2021 described ordering on December 23, 2020, shipment on March 23, 2021, and about two weeks of transit to Switzerland. Most of that reported wait preceded shipment. It is a useful way to split the clock, but neither a current YOELEO lead time nor evidence of EU customs treatment. The ALTERA G21 pictured in this guide is a different frame.

The shipping-times guide splits a seller's estimate into the same milestones: production, shipment and transit.
